RAGA Reserves Media Buy in North Carolina Attorney General Race

The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) announced it has placed reserves for the final five weeks leading up to the fall election across North Carolina in broadcast and cable advertising to support the Republican Attorney General nominee, State Senator Buck Newton. The $3.8 million reserve is the largest RAGA has made to date.

“RAGA is on the offense in 2016, and we are committed to expanding our already strong majority of Republican attorneys general, with North Carolina being a prime pick-up opportunity,” said RAGA Executive Director Scott Will. “RAGA is investing heavily in this race because North Carolina voters want leaders like Republican State Senator Buck Newton, who will stand up to the Obama-Clinton machine and rein in the federal government. Meanwhile, liberal Democrat Josh Stein has made a career in the state legislature raising taxes that hurt families, stifle economic growth and obstruct job creation. North Carolinians have rejected the tax-and-spend approach to government, and will have a clear choice between Buck Newton and Josh Stein in this year’s election for attorney general.”

About RAGA: The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) is the only national organization whose mission is electing Republicans to the Office of State Attorney General. In 2014 Republican attorneys general became the clear majority, for the first time in our country’s history, increasing the total number of Republican attorneys general from 24 to 27, protecting all our 12 incumbents and turning three states from blue to red, by investing nearly $14 million into political spending.
